ORDER OF MERIT POINTS FOR BOTH HANDICAP & SCRATCH
You must be 17 years or under as at 1.1.11
a) 10 points for a win, going down to 1 point for 10th place. Points will be awarded to the top 10 competitors only. If there is a tie for any place then the points for those places will be divided and shared by those tieing i.e if 3 players tie for 4th place then points for 4th,5th & 6th will be shared and the next person awarded 7th place.
b) Maximum 7 scores to count for the order of merit. (If you play in more events then the best 7 results will count. There is no minimum requirement eg. If you only play in 4 events all those scores will count). In the event of a tie in the Order of Merit there will be a count back with the winner being the individual who attains his final score from the least number of events. If it is still tied then there will be a countback on number of events won. Should it still be tied then the Order of Merit will be shared.
c) Scratch and handicap scores to count. ie. Two order of merits.
d) Entry forms from Club Secretaries (NB. Clubs entry conditions apply).
e) The order of merits will be administered by the County Secretary and results will appear on the County website. (hampshiregolf.org.uk)
